Much like most of those superstar, blockbuster movies, assembling some of the biggest names on the planet doesn't necessarily guarantee box office success.
The same held true on the music charts when Motown Superstars Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Smokey Robinson got together to record this Tribute to Berry Gordy ... it totally tanked, never even reaching The Top 50 ... and lacked EVERYTHING that made The Motown Sound stand head and shoulder above the rest during their glory days. In fact, it failed to capture ANYTHING to distinguish it as a Motown Record at all!
